Edges of Expansion

The project explores the urban fragmentation of Bratislava. I perceive the blending of original structures with modern development as a visual symptom of unplanned growth, shaped by shifting regimes. Through photography, I capture fragments, anomalies, and liminal spaces of the periphery. These reveal fractures in the city's development, reflecting its chaotic, shifting identity.

I am a student at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design and have been working with photography since high school. My practice moves between documentary and staged photography, adapting to the subject I explore. I am interested in photography as a tool for examining personal and social issues, particularly questions of identity, memory, and the environments we inhabit.
