Trial at the Specialized Criminal Court in Banská Bystrica with Juraj Cintula, who is charged with athe particularly serious crime of a terrorist attack on a protected person, for which he faces life imprisonment. On May 15. 2024, he committed an unsuccessful assassination attempt on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Handlová. The attacker shot the Prime Minister five times and seriously injured him.
