In late autumn, when fog shrouds the floodplain forest, the landscape transforms into a dreamscape. The trees disappear in the haze, the light is soft like in a fairy tale. In those moments, I am in no hurry - just letting the landscape speak through the lens. The photograph shows the river Arm of Veľký Lél, which in 2015 was re-cut, which among other things re-created such nooks and crannies.

Misty Floodplain Forest

I was born and have lived my entire life in the lowlands at the confluence of the Danube and Váh rivers. This region is interwoven with waterways, floodplain forests, and their quiet, sometimes forgotten river distributaries. It is these places — inconspicuous yet enchanting — that are an inexhaustible source of peace and inspiration. One of my favorite places is the island of Veľký Lél, an oasis of silence surrounded by the distributaries of the Danube.

freelance photographer
Photography has been with me since childhood, when, under the influence of my father and brother, I started with black and white film that I developed myself. I was fascinated by the whole process and the possibility to influence the result. Itis my passion and a part of my life even I don't do it professionally. Today, my favourite genre is landscape photography. Nature constantly inspires me.
