The two countries are separated by a steel barrier that was built during the administration of Donald Trump. It is also called the Trump Wall and stretches for tens of kilometers in this area. However, east of the town of Sasabe, it is briefly interrupted. Further on, only metal anti-vehicle barriers continue. Anyone can pass through them without any problems.

We spent a day on the world's deadliest border. The Tucson Samaritans are a humanitarian group that has been helping migrants trying to cross the Arizona desert and start a new life in the United States for over 20 years. Every year, at least 200 to 500 people die attempting the journey. The Samaritans are trying to keep the number of victims as low as possible.
