Anti-government protests in Georgia

The situation in the Caucasus country, governed by the Georgian Dream party for the past 12 years, has significantly deteriorated following the elections, with the government gradually turning away from its pro-European course. Thousands of Georgians have taken to the streets to express their dissatisfaction. It has been nine days and nights since people took to the streets, prompted by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s announcement that EU integration would be postponed until 2028.
