name

Self Care (from series)

The series addresses the growing need to define what self-care means. We find ourselves trapped by a plurality of opinions on what is most important for our well-being. I channel my frustration with the oversimplification of well-being and self-care issues into my artistic practice, highlighting how it has been transformed into mass marketing that exploits our experienced discomfort.

My artistic research delves into genres like fictional documentary and snapshot photography, exploring ways to blend these approaches. Intuitively drawn to self-portraiture as a means of self-expression, I find empowerment in depicting myself authentically as a female photographer. Additionally, I engage with topics related to the pressures imposed on individuals by late-stage capitalism.
