Gray steppe cattle in the village of Senné
name

Check of gray steppe cattle

Conservationists in eastern Slovakia check free-trapping steppe cattle during autumn. By their weight in relation to the terrain, trampling the soil, selective grazing of grasses and herbs, leaving droppings, they create microbiotopes in which other animals live. Once a year they are taken for a blood test and necessary examinations.
