Kinder Mafia (A moment of rest) (from series)

The project focuses on a group of young adults we can find in a small village in southern Slovakia. A group of young friends, who do not yet fit into adult life, but neither into childhood life, form an interesting combination of these two worlds. The name Kinder Mafia was coined to describe this group of young people by the citizens of the village, who perceive them as organised danger and noise in their neighbourhood.

My name is Marián Malatinec, I am 21 years old, and I am currently in my third year of a bachelor's degree at the Department of Photography and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. I also studied photography at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Zvolen. I have been practicing photography as an amateur since I was twelve years old, and my passion for it has never disappeared.
