Exterior classes were characteristic of the education reform. They offered opportunities for movement and outdoors teaching. They were part of the progressive thinking about education, which we could build on. We still feel the contrast of freedom and surveillance in them. Arch. Vladimír Dedeček Vladimír, Rudolf Miňovský.Realization 1956 – 1958.Address Mikovíniho 1, Bratislava. Adjusted brightness.

Limits of inclusion

I photograph schools in Bratislava from the education reform in Slovakia in the 60-70s of the 20th century. Space and its relationship to the child began to be more experimentally, critically, and freely differentiated. I confront the schools defined in the past with the current needs of education. I look for principles in them that either offer opportunities for inclusion on a physical and mental level, or place barriers and create boundaries.

freelance photographer
I am a recent graduate of AFAD, Department of Photography and New Media. As an author, I am closest to photography of architecture and urbanism. My latest works deal with the memory of a place, the effect of architecture on a person, or education and upbringing. I complete the spaces with a photographic portrait or a figure. Thematically, I reach into history, which we confront with the present.
