By photographing daily routines, habits, interactions and emotions, I documented the aspects that define B., his gender identity and character. The photo shows B. with the butterfly-shaped hair clips he bought that day.

What is a home if not the first place you learn to run from?

The project is an intimate depiction of my close friend's (B.) life and his journey to self-discovery. I try to appeal and evoke empathy for the aspects that shape a person's life after changing their gender identity. I try to present a visual story in vague hints, but also in clear rawness, which represents one of the most significant decisions in a person's life.
