Traditional festive girl's clothing from Rakova (Čadca district)

Girl's clothing is the clothing worn by unmarried women from sexual maturity (from about age 12) until marriage. There were no significant differences between the clothing of girls and married women; they wore the same clothing components. The only difference was in the girl’s festive dress, which was dominated by rich and colourful decoration.
