The Koš municipality is the oldest settled village in the Upper Nitra region. All residents were asked to move away and their houses were demolished in 1988, when the decision to convert the region into mining pits was adopted. Nowadays, after 32 years have passed, Koš has become a dumping ground. Some Koš residents, nevertheless, rejected to stop visiting the place where their home used to be. This explains signs of life at certain points. Such as lights blinking into the darkness
