Contemporary Slovak fujara players

This essay shows people with a good character, who preserve Slovak traditions. They are excellent masters of manufacturing and performers of shepherds’ folk songs. They create unique shepherd music instruments, fujaras, blowpipes or bagpipes, produced in a traditional, authentic way, and live the same authentic lifestyle. I do not intend to show the folklore aspects; I shoot them in their natural environment in which they live. The men on the pictures are: Branislav Blahovec from Trenčianske Teplice, Stanislav Markovič from Turčianske Kľačany, and Pavol Smutný from Dúbravy.
