An enormous ice-formed valley in northern Iceland is inhabited by a few farmers' families. The people living in this barren and isolated land are more aware of how fragile every living creature is. Direct contact and confrontation with this harsh land reminds them that they are all mortals and the only thing that matters is closeness.
